Abstract

I will hereby develop a business idea forthe creation of a constructioncompany specializing in highly efficient refurbishments and restorations of homes.I have designed a business plan where I would like to examine the technical, financial and economic viability of this type of business. This will also help me towardsmy own personal development.Although financial factors playan important rolewhen building your ownbusiness, there are other equally important aspects such as personal development, own time management, self-esteem, autonomy and the adoption ofnew challenges.The new company ́s business activity will take place in the city of Barcelona and its metropolitan area, adapting its needs from within the local environment, while considering the sustainable and economic development of its clients. Demarcation of such a metropolitan area is given by the transportation and advertising costs: the objective is for resources to be concentrated within a confined space.The business idea is based on therole of theTechnical Architect, as the person who will encompass other activities beside thatof a building planning engineer. The Technical Architect will also deal with market analysis and activities,and the development of commercialized business products. That is,he will also be responsible as a business generator of home refurbishment opportunities.The last part of my business plan will include an economic and financial plan, including annual revenues and expenses and finaldrawing of accounts, a provisional income statement andthe company ́s cash/assetmanagement forecasted forthe next five years.
