Abstract
Globalization has changed the supply chains during the last decades. Now there is the opportunity to reach infinite suppliers around the world and to be able to make it even more profitable than going to your neighbor supplier. Therefore, information to keep the Supply Managers updated about the last trends and new emerging countries and industries is something that brings lots of value to any company. To face this challenge, in this thesis a tool is developed in the context of a multinational company as it is Hilti AG. The tool provides Supply Managers with updated information about all the countries in the world where they can find suppliers for their products. With the close collaboration of current Supply Managers and understanding the needs of the company, the tool is driven through several iterations and finally tested after doing a benchmark and contacting 150+ suppliers globally.
