dc.description.abstractADS-B presents itself as the surveillance technology that will provide aircraft controlling for years to come. By virtue of its broadcast nature, private companies such as Aistech Space are able to obtain and process huge amounts of real aircraft trajectory data and develop their own products and algorithms for commercial use. The first part of this project consists of conducting research on the cutting edge ADS-B derived applications in order to select a viable candidate to be developed in the second part. The elected topic was a tool for predictive maintenance against adverse effects of dust ingestion in wind turbines.
