Pantala is a start-up company launched in June 2020 as an online service that provides designer clothing and accessory rentals. The business is based on customers paying a monthly subscription in return for being able to rent three items per month. This research has been focused on the company's operations and logistics during the first month after it began operating. A simulation of all the processes taking place within the warehouse was carried out and was validated by means of a real-life case study. The results obtained from the simulation provided substantial information relating to employee utilisation, quality checking and processing times. The validation of the system showed that the data used to perform the simulation was correct as the results were remarkably similar to the real-life ones. The different outcomes of the simulation have proved to be extremely useful as they have enabled the employees to predict or anticipate exceptional situations during the company’s first two months of operations. This simulation model will continue to represent an essential tool for Pantala in the near future as it will show the company's operational performance within the warehouse at any given moment. It will also enable the board to easily predict any exceptional situation as well as to anticipate any challenges that were previously impossible to foresee.
