Study on spatial development mode of resource-based cities: a case study of Daqing

Resource-based cities are cities that have emerged with the development of resources and are dominated by resource extraction. Due to the special dependence on resources and the uniqueness of the industrial structure, it has a unique spatial structure form and evolutionary process. As a typical resource-based city, Daqing has developed a unique urban spatial pattern through the development process from small to large. Daqing's urban space model is a model under a specific period, specific conditions, and specific needs. After 50 years of development, the urban space model of Daqing can generally meet the needs of urban development. However, with the continuous reduction in the exploitation of petroleum resources, Daqing entered a transitional period, and the contradiction between its urban spatial pattern and industrial layout, ecological environment and social economy has become more and more serious. The main content of this topic is based on the theory of spatial development of other cities and the practical experience of spatial development model of resource-based cities, and analyzes the characteristics of urban spatial structure and constraints of urban development in Daqing City, and proposes the urban spatial development model of Daqing City in the future.
