Anàlisi i disseny d’una infraestructura de correu SMTP

Abstract

The main objective of this thesis is the design and implementation of a mail infrastructure based on the SMTP protocol by a technology company that receives a large number of daily emails which must be filtered without error and stored on their servers. We want to achieve a solution adapted on today, which a very robust architecture and able to operate for many years with high performance. The development of the project is based on the analysis of the old SMTP system that has already become obsolete, and looking for improvements and alternatives for the new design. Finally, the proposed reasoning in the report has been implemented and the infrastructure has been simulated with Microsoft Azure, creating the work environments and configuring the various elements.

El principal objetivo de esta tesis es el diseño e implementación de una infraestructura de correo basada en el protocolo SMTP para una empresa tecnológica que recibe una cantidad muy grande de mails cada día, que tienen que ser filtrados y almacenados a sus servidores. Queremos una solución actualizada, con una arquitectura robusta y que sea capaz de funcionar por muchos años a gran rendimiento. El desarrollo del proyecto se basa en el análisis del antiguo sistema SMTP que ya está obsoleto, y en buscar mejoras y alternativas por el nuevo diseño. Finalmente se han puesto en práctica los razonamientos propuestos en la memoria y se ha implementado la infraestructura con la herramienta Microsoft Azure, simulando los entornos de trabajo y configurando los distintos elementos.
