Disseny d'una aplicació web Wordpress/PHP d'una editorial de llibres

Abstract

El món editorial està vivint un moment difícil des de ja fa molts anys. L'aparició d'Internet al nostre dia a dia (i la conseqüent pirateria de continguts digitals), juntament amb la preocupant baixada d'hàbits de lectura entre la població, fan que es venguin menys llibres que abans. Però el llegir és imprescindible, ara més que mai, per mantenir una societat amb pensament crític, culturalment rica i viva. És per això que la finalitat d'aquest treball és intentar millorar aquesta situació, mitjançant la creació d'un portal web de venda de llibres i d'un blog literari. Així doncs, l'aplicació anirà dirigida a tota la comunitat lectora, però també sobretot a tots aquells que no tinguin el costum d'agafar un llibre abans d'anar a dormir. L'eina escollida pel disseny és Wordpress, amb totes les seves opcions de configuració de plugins, temes, estils CSS i altres.

The publishing industry has been through hard times for many years now. The Internet and its piracy of digital content, alongside the decreasing reading habits of our society, produces less sold books worldwide. But reading is essential to keep a well-balanced, culturally rich society. Improving this situation is the main goal behind this project, by means of creating a website of books sale and literary blog. The use of this application is pointed to the reading community but, mostly, to those who are not used to pick up a book before bedtime. The chosen tool to develop the webapp is Wordpress, together with all of its features, plugins, themes and CSS styles.
