dc.description.abstractThe project starts from the first bodywork, wings and diffuser geometries generated by the UPC ecoRacing Aerodynamics Department for the 2018Formula Studentseason. Using CFD, characterization work is done for the car’swake in order to try to reduce its pressure drag.Two casesof study are proposed: the bodywork without wings and only with the diffuser and the bodywork with the complete aerodynamic package. Meshing and RANS simulations are performed for the two cases to understand the behaviour of the wake and the influence of the rear wing over the diffuser flow.The results show that the initial geometry is oversized for its functioning conditions, and a series of modifications are suggested to try to reduce the pressure drag associated with the wake
