dc.description.abstractThis final degree project aims to correctly receive, processand visualize proper communications signals. Focusing on a good receiving of FM radio broadcasts, that realize frequency modulation transmissions. It also focuses on obtaining aircraft information such as position coordinates, identification, velocity and altitude. The dongle captures information within a defined frequency range.This is possible due to the software and hardware combination.It’s the union of on RTL-SDR dongle and a programming language. In this case using Python to process all the information.In the case of FM radio broadcast, it’s necessary to adjust and processthe signal to listen to the transmission of the broadcasting station. To demodulate these signals it's necessary to find phase difference between the current sample and the conjugate of theprevious sample.To decode ADS-B messages it’s necessary to orderas well and divide the converted message in binary basis. Each bit indicates a type of information and parameter.Proper separation and conversion of these messages will guarantee to visualiz e the aircraft information in real-time with veridical dates.
