E-prints
Biblioteques@upc.edu

Open AccessMany cities are making efforts to develop an urban transformation strategy in order to transition from traditional cities to sustainable ones. Improving the energy efficiency of buildings, especially existing ones, is key ... -
UP2DATE: Safe and secure over-the-air software updates on high-performance mixed-criticality systems
(Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), 2020)
Conference lecture
Open AccessFollowing the same trend of consumer electronics, safety-critical industries are starting to adopt Over-The-Air Software Updates (OTASU) on their embedded systems. The motivation behind this trend is twofold. On the one ... -
Approaches for describing reference architectures: A systematic mapping study
(CIbSE, 2020)
Conference report
Open AccessReference architectures have emerged as an important arti-fact of software engineering, since they provide knowledge and experi-ence about how to design architectures of software systems in a specificdomain, favoring their ... -
A reliable statistical analysis of the best-fit distribution for High Execution Times
(Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), 2018)
Conference lecture
Open AccessExtreme Value Theory has been used to model the WCET probabilistically, relying on the assumption that probabilistic WCET (pWCET) estimates can be upper-bounded with exponential distributions, but this is only assessed on ... -
Actionable software metrics: An industrial perspective
(Association for Computing Machinery (ACM), 2020)
Conference report
Open AccessBackground: Practitioners would like to take action based on software metrics, as long as they find them reliable. Existing literature explores how metrics can be made reliable, but remains unclear if there are other ... -
Skuld: a self-learning tool for impact-driven technical debt management
(Association for Computing Machinery (ACM), 2020)
Conference lecture
Open AccessAs the development progresses, software projects tend to accumulate Technical Debt and become harder to maintain. Multiple tools exist with the mission to help practitioners to better manage Technical Debt. Despite this ... -
Spatial analysis of land subsidence in the San Luis Potosi Valley induced by aquifer overexploitation using the coherent pixels technique (CPT) and Sentinel-1 InSAR observation
(Multidisciplinary Digital Publishing Institute (MDPI), 2020-11-21)
Article
Open AccessThe San Luis Potosi metropolitan area has suffered considerable damage from land subsidence over the past decades, which has become visible since 1990. This paper seeks to evaluate the effects of groundwater withdrawal on ... -
Unraveling response to temozolomide in preclinical GL261 glioblastoma with MRI/MRSI using radiomics and signal source extraction
(Nature, 2020-11-12)
Article
Open AccessGlioblastoma is the most frequent aggressive primary brain tumor amongst human adults. Its standard treatment involves chemotherapy, for which the drug temozolomide is a common choice. These are heterogeneous and variable ... -
Effects of delignification on crystalline cellulose in lignocellulose biomass characterized by vibrational sum frequency generation spectroscopy and X-ray diffraction
(2015-12)
Article
Restricted access - publisher's policyDelignification, a common practice in the pulping industry, has been proposed and explored as a means to selectively remove lignin from lignocellulosic biomass and, thus, increase enzyme accessibility for cellulose hydrolysis. ... -
