dc.description.abstract | The Façade FB720 project is the result of research funded by the Spanish Government’s Centre for Industrial Technological Development (Centro para el Desarrollo Tecnológico Industrial, CDTI) (IDI-20090761). The aim of the project was to design and develop a lightweight, modular, unitized façade with low environmental impact and high energy efficiency, mainly for use in the Iberian Peninsula (temperate climates). The basic technical strategies to achieve this aim were as follows:
• Reduce the consumption of building materials
• Use renewable or recycled materials
• Optimize the façade structure and the transparent surfaces as elements to control solar radiation. |
