dc.description.abstractThe SMART project aims to assist the designers of real-time fault-tolerant (RT/FT) systems by providing a number of specially-developed tools within an open environment. The tools developed within the SMART environment support dependability evaluation, fault tree analysis, and simulation of real-time architectures. The SMART environment is open so that designers of RT/FT systems can add their own tools to it.
