AS3 - Estadística Aplicada i Ciències Socials

 

AS3 s'orienta a la recerca aplicada en estadística i ciències socials. Concretament el grup s'intensifica en tres àrees fonamentals de recerca: estadística aplicada en l'àmbit de l'enginyeria i les ciències socials, ciències del comportament i educació, i investigació operativa. Totes aquestes àrees conflueixen multidisciplinars centrant-se principalment en investigacions aplicades que pretenen donar resposta a les problemàtiques de la nostra societat des d'una vessant tècnica i social. Així mateix, en el seu caràcter aplicat encara que no excloent de la investigació bàsica, AS3 es fixa com a objectiu fonamental la transferència dels resultats de recerca mitjançant la formació i l'assessorament directe, la publicació, i la creació de programari.

Concretamente el grupo se intensifica en tres áreas fundamentales de investigación: estadística aplicada en el ámbito de la ingeniería y las ciencias sociales, ciencias del comportamiento y educación, e investigación operativa. Todas estas áreas confluyen multidisciplinarmente centrándose principalmente en investigaciones aplicadas que pretenden dar respuesta a las problemáticas de nuestra sociedad desde una vertiente técnica y social. Asimismo, en su carácter aplicado aunque no excluyente de la investigación básica, AS3 se fija como objetivo fundamental la transferencia de los resultados de investigación mediante la formación y el asesoramiento directo, la publicación, y la creación de software.

AS3 is focused on applied research in statistics and social sciences. Specifically, the group is intensifying in three key areas of research: applied statistics in the field of engineering and social sciences, behavioural sciences and education, and operations research. All these multidisciplinary areas converge mainly focusing on applied research which objective is to respond to the problems of our society from a technical and social side. Similarly, due to its applied nature but not excluding basic research, AS3 fixes as main objective the transfer of research results through training and direct counselling, publishing, and the creation of software.
