Departament d'Enginyeria Telemàtica

El Departament d'Enginyeria Telemàtica està format per més de seixanta professors amb tres seus departamentals que imparteixen docència en l'àrea de la Telemàtica a l'ETSETB, l'EPSC i l'EUPVG. Al Campus Nord, disposa de vuit laboratoris entre docència i recerca, com són el de Disseny de Sistemes Telemàtics, el de Xarxes i Comunicacions de Dades, el de Serveis Telemàtics i Programari de Comunicacions, i el de Simulació de Sistemes. Al Campus de Castelldefels disposa de dos laboratoris de recerca en temes de mobilitat i xarxes de banda ampla.
El Departament també imparteix docència de tercer cicle. Organitza el programa de doctorat en Enginyeria Telemàtica, així com és el responsable del màster de Telemàtica i el de "Xarxes, Sistemes i Serveis Avançats de Difusió" i ofereix nombrosos cursos de postgrau en Xarxes i Serveis Telemàtics.
L'activitat investigadora està organitzada en tres línies de recerca: Comunicacions sense fils; Disseny i Avaluació de Xarxes i Serveis de Banda Ampla; i Serveis Telemàtics.
Al mateix temps participa en accions de transferència de tecnologia mitjançant projectes amb la Unió Europea i també d'àmbit institucional i privat.
