dc.description.abstractThe new progresses in the Camera Vision field enables new approaches to existing applications that could reduce the costs and enhance the quality, the quantity and the reachability of the information that can be extracted from a surveillance system. In the application we are analyzing, which is implementing a security system for the UPC Parking Campus Nord, we aim to replace the current sensor system by a camera surveillance one that offers much more information to the security staff and the common user of the parking with reduced cost.
