Abstract
3D printing technology is gaining interest from the society since the last decade. This phenomenon is thanks to the introduction of an open-source, public affordable and self-replicable into the market. However, the strength of parts produced with such equipment are still an unknown variable to be determined. The aim of this study is to determine the influences of printing parameters over the mechan-ical strength of 3D printed parts. For its achievement, specimens with different printing setting are subjected to mechanical strength testing. With the results of this experiment, a mathematical model for strength prediction is developed.
