A decade has been enough to disrupt the Earth Observation industry. New trends, new technologies, new business models and new challenges have emerged with the aim to completely democratise the EO market. In a sector where the competitors increase year by year, having a competitive business model becomes essential. Therefore, by analysing two successful EO companies, this study provides relevant information about the key factors to take into account when designing a new Earth Observation business model. A good idea together with a suitable business model can lead the way on the success of the company.
