Abstract
Present CSSIs are a valuable tool in systems engineering but some changes in the structure and a standardization of the language constructs would be useful. A comparative review of the structure in recent simulation ot piecewise continuous systems whose aim is to provide a modular way to build-up the model as well as to ease the experimentation, validation and debugging.
