This study is the first step in a development of multi-solid Lap Time Simulation programcalled ecoR-VirtualSimulator that establishes the basis of a modular software easily im-provable with the purpose of studying the effects of not only the aerodynamic set-upbut also the dynamic set-up.This software is a complex, non-linear, 18 degrees of freedom model with numerous layersof iterative solvers to deal with real tire and vehicle data. Using quasi-steady trimmedsolutions that are generated at each section of the track and obtaining a listing of morethan 30 parameters at each section, enabling the possibility of guiding an engineer onchoosing the single-seater set-up
The main goal of this project is to stydy the Influence of the aerodynamics configurations of a Formula Student car (wings, downforce distribution, etc.) on the dynamic performance of the vehicle. In order to obtain these objectives, a software will be developed, it will simulate the performance of the car at any point of the circuit in any dynamic event taking into account the different aerodynamics parameters.
