Composición arquitectónica: Historiar la práctica y practicar la historia

Abstract

(ENG) The orientation of subjects as architectural composition, in the curricula of schools of architecture, shows the current dichotomy of matter that has moved its contents, historically, from the practice of the project to the art theory; from the history to the philosophy. In this paper we argue a strong commitment to the art history and architecture as fundamental driver of the subject through a case study, Composition 4, in the School of Architecture at the UIC Barcelona: theory and practice as inseparable methodology to build the discourse of the history.

(ESP) La orientación de asignaturas como Composición, en los actuales planes de estudio de las Escuelas de arquitectura, exhibe la actual dicotomía de una materia que ha movido sus contenidos históricamente desde la práctica del proyecto a la teoría del arte; de la historia a la filosofía. En el presente artículo se argumenta una decidida apuesta por la historia del arte y la arquitectura como conductor fundamental de la asignatura a través de un caso de estudio, Composición 4 en la School of Architecture de la UIC Barcelona: teoría y práctica indisolubles como metodología para construir el discurso de la historia.
