dc.description.abstractA new double curved spatial element was developed to analyze textile structures. It has a bending resistance beside the inplane stiffness. The element is based on a 8-node double curved membrane element1. To find the equilibrium solution the Total Lagrange strategy is used with the dynamic relaxation method (DRM). Deformations are calculated with a continuum mechanical method.
