Estudio e implantación de un modelo de gestión de riesgos

Abstract

The present study consists in defining the risks affecting Equatorial Coca-Cola Bottling Company, hereinafter, ECCBC, through an analysis of five big bottling companies of The Coca-Cola Company group, as well as the measures to be implemented in order to mitigate the identified risks. To achieve this objective, firstly, a brief introduction where the beginning of the CocaCola bottling and the company ECCBC have been described. Following, what types of business risk a company has to face has been detailed, dividing them into five major risk categories: strategic and reputation risks, regulatory risks, financial risks, operational risks and finally, cyber risks, so that a later classification is made within each of the risk categories. After this point, an explanation of each of the five companies analysed has been made. Afterwards, the annual reports of these companies have been examined where the risks that affect each one are detailed. After listing all the risks that affect each of the companies, the conclusion has been drawn that the companies share a large majority of the risks. Once the pooling has been done, the risk catalogue has been identified, that is, risks that would mainly affect ECCBC, either because of its size, operating locations, etc. After this identification, the exposure of each risk, listing the three with the greatest exposure, and actions to mitigate those risks have been defined. Thenceforth, after the mitigation actions have been implemented, the exposure of the selected risks has been calculated, besides the cost of the implementation of these measures. Finally, the next steps would be to identify employees / departments of the ECCBC company responsible for the risk management and control of the first, second and third line of defence. In order to achieve it, the definition of the Model of the three Lines of Defence has been drafted.
