ACM - Anàlisis Crítiques de la Modernitat: Arquitectura i Ciutat

 

El grup ACM centra la seva activitat investigadora en l’arquitectura i la ciutat de la modernitat adoptant una aproximació essencialment relacional per aportar elements crítics als debats i articular visions alternatives a les actuals polítiques d’intervenció.
Amb aquest objecte combina l’obertura de referents, de perspectives teòriques i de visions comparades amb el rigorós treball històric documental sobre estudis de cas com a base de noves aportacions crítiques.
Integra aproximacions diverses i complementàries que exploren aquells àmbits i processos de canvi fortament vinculats amb les transformacions de l'arquitectura i de la ciutat dels segles XIX, XX i XXI, com poden ser els camps de l'art i de la tècnica, de l'emergència i l'expansió de la noció de patrimoni i, en general, de totes aquelles problemàtiques de la societat i de la cultura de la modernitat que es mostrin rellevants.

Con este objetivo combina la apertura de referentes, de perspectivas teóricas y de visiones comparadas con el riguroso trabajo histórico documental sobre estudios de caso como base de nuevas aportaciones críticas.
Integra aproximaciones diversas y complementarias que exploran aquellos ámbitos y procesos de cambio fuertemente vinculados con las transformaciones de la arquitectura y de la ciudad de los siglos XIX, XX y XXI, como pueden ser los campos del arte y de la técnica, de la emergencia y expansión de la noción de patrimonio y, en general, de todas aquellas problemáticas de la sociedad y de la cultura de la modernidad que se muestren relevantes.

The ACM group focuses its research activity on architecture and the city of modernity by adopting an essentially relational approach to provide critical elements to discussions and articulate alternative visions to current intervention policies.
With this aim, it combines the opening of references, theoretical perspectives and visions compared to the rigorous historical documentary work on case studies as a basis for new critical contributions.
It integrates diverse and complementary approaches that explore those areas and the processes of change strongly linked to the transformations of the architecture and the city of the nineteenth, twentieth and twenty-first centuries, such as the fields of art and technology, the emergence and expansion of the notion of heritage and, in general, of all the problems of society and the culture of modernity that are relevant.
