dc.description.abstractExperimental tests developed to characterize sheet metal plastic ansiotropy are reviewed in this paper, with particular emphasis on those delicated to the identification of advanced yield surfaces capable of improving the predictions in forming simulations. The direct identification methods using a variety of tests that cover a wide range of proportional stress states are first discussed. Inverse methods based on experiments on complex-shaped speciemns are next presented. With this methods, the parameters of a selected material model are determined by minimizing the discrepancies between numerically-predicted results and experimental ones.
