dc.description.abstractIn this thesis, a model for a grid connected converter for a PV system is described and simulated. A brief explanation of the main characteristics and how voltage source converters and photovoltaic systems work is made before presenting two models that describe the performance and behavior of a VSC and a PV array. First, the models are presented in a theoretical framework, and then several simulations are carried out. Two different scenarios are presented in which diverse features of the converter model are shown, as well as presenting some applications for the PV model. All the models and simulations are built and performed in Matlab and Simulink software.
