Abstract
The project is mainly aimed to fulfill two objectives. The first, gather and explain all the information related on the Advanced Driver-Assistance System (ADAS), its design and its validation. And the second one, is to develop a measurement data post-processing tool, which data is obtained due the performing of tests that are designed to validate the own ADAS mentioned before. In order to do this, a study of the ADASs’ state of the art and their different validation methodologies is realized, detailing in depth the Autonomous Emergency Braking (AEB) ADAS’ case, besides of a study of the future of these technologies. Once known what ADASs are, is possible to explain which are the necessary steps needed to verify and validate an ADAS system, from their requirements to their analysis, using an AEB system as example. This means the analysis and definition of the system’s requirements and its subsequent tests matrix’s definition, necessary to verify them. Then, is explained how the simulation results will be related to the requirements accomplishment, due the established traceability procedure. After the simulations, which will not be explained in detail here due to delays in the project, can be found the second main objective of this project, the post processing and analysis tasks. For the first one, a tool is developed in order to process the track test measurements data. This process consists on filter application, cuts, tolerance accomplishment checks, determination of events, calculus of metrics, and all the necessary actions aimed to enhance the posterior analysis. In the second task, the analysis, some postprocessed tests will be evaluated according to the specified assessment protocol, scenario and/or requirements that have to be accomplished. Finally a budget of the post processing tool will be elaborated, and will be determined which are the environmental costs related to the development of this project.
