dc.description.abstract | In this project it’s developed an inverse dynamics analysis of a mechanism (from the movement it’s obtained the forces and moments) in order to optimize the cross-section dimensions of bar structural components. At the same time, the distribution of the actuating forces and moments is changed so as to get a more efficient system. The kinematic analysis begins with the identification of the geometrical parameters because the first step is to find the positions of the most important points. From the parameterized equations of the positions, the velocities are obtained just deriving on time. The next step is to derive velocities for having the accelerations. The same methodology is followed with angles, angular velocities and angular accelerations. The dynamic analysis set the equations that are necessary to get all the stresses supported by the mechanism components. As all the formulation is written parametrically, the equations are useful for both static and dynamic efforts, just by setting the velocities and accelerations on 0 when the analyzed instant corresponds to a static configuration. After the optimization of the cross-sections and the redistribution of the actuating inputs, it’s numerically demonstrated the reduction of mass and energy consumption of the system. With all these calculations, this project tries to contribute to the reduction of the environmental impact of the engineering purposes |
