Abstract
The structural analysis and design of air-inflated structures lacks of a standard normative due to its specificity. The wind pressure distribution according to the norms is defined from schemes derived for building or tents, which in most cases overestimate the pressure. A more exhaustive knowledge of the pressure distribution would lead to improve the numerical simulation of the problem and probably lower applied loads and optimization of the amount of material employed and so the cost of the structure.
