dc.description.abstractEl projecte té com a finalitat analitzar els mètodes de recuperació de la taladrina impregnada en les virutes, així com trobar mètodes de separació dels quatre tipus de metalls que utilitzen (fossa, acer, acer inoxidable i alumini), ja que totes les virutes resultants dels processos de fabricació acaben en benes sense passar per processos de selecció. Per acabar, el projecte proposa mètodes de reventa de les palettes de fusta que també s'emmagatzemen al pati exterior de la industria sense cap finalitat.
dc.description.abstractCabanes Industries manufactures many industrial metal parts requested by customers. This industrial activity generates a lot of waste such as metal shavings, cutting fluid or wooden pallets and transport boxes.The company is then in charge of the disposal of this waste produced, which represents a detrimental investment. It is therefore wise to think about the recovery of a company’s waste in order to limit the losses due to their generation, and how to transform it into a profit. The recycling will lead to an increase in value, which depends not only on their state but also on how they will be reused.Machined metal chips are made of different metals such as cast iron, steel, stainless steel and aluminium and are soaked in cutting fluid. This impregnation of cutting fluid, toxic to the environment, and the storage of the latter on the outside in a leaking dumpster creates a soil pollution that must be stopped. A recovery of the cutting fluid combined with the sorting and resale of the metal chips was considered by the company. Nevertheless, these operations must be easy to set up in order to generate positive income for the company. Last year, the students in charge of the project proposed a screening solution that wasthe subject of a series of experiments this year to validate its effectiveness. However, the reproducibility of the experiment did not succeed and highlighted the difficulty of separating metal shavings that are too similar to be separated by screening. These screening experiments also allowed us to think about the recovery of the cutting fluid while separating the shavings. On the other hand, part of the project focused on recycling wood from transport pallets, which were using a stocking space needed by the company in order to expend.The bibliographic research made it possible to discover the different possibilities of managing objects once they have been discarded, and to develop them in order to allow effective recycling. Concerning metal shavings, a composition based sorting would lead to increase their value (depending on the machines selected). The salvaging of cutting fluid can result in saving approximately83% of the fluid used. Finally, concerning wooden pallets, crush them would reduce their occupied space by 80%. Saved space could the, be used in favour of the company’s development.
