Abstract
The objectives of this thesis are (1) to study the ISO 9001:2015, whose understanding will enable (2) to propose improvements for the supply chain of a chemical company. The main aim of this thesis is to provide the reader with the writer's point of view on the iso 9001:2015, as well as its application to a real case to support its comprehension.First, it isexplained what total quality management (Chapter 2) and ISO9001(Chapter 3)consists of,and how they are linked(Chapter 4).Then, once the theory behind has been established, a real case ispresented in which existing problems will be analysed and solutions proposed(Chapter 5). This case is regardingthe functioning of the supply chiain of the company ChemiCo. For that purpose, it will be followed a methodology named PDCA, used to implement a system of continuous improvement.At the end of the study conducted, it is concluded thatif one not only understand each of the ISO clauses, but also understand the idea behind them, one can develop a critical point of view thatenables to improve any process carried out by theorganization.Also, in the real case presented, when justifying the improvement proposalsin the context of ISO 9001 it is revealed how easy it is to improve a process if the established guidelines are followed
