In our daily work people have problems because they can't find the information they need, and it may not be retrieved since they just don't know that certain information exists. Files can be stored at local hard disks, personal folders, different applications (emails, …), thus the access to certain data could be difficult to obtain due to its decentralization and granular security. So how should they make a decision if they can't find or use the information they need? Even if they find all the information how should they make a decision in time if it takes them hours to search and rate them? Sharepoint is a web-based collaborative platform that integrates with Microsoft Office. It's a tool that includes process administration modules, content management and a great search engine. The aim of this project is to help users to work more easily, efficient and to securely store, manage and retrieve any kind of information needed from other sources of the company. For this reason, a shortcut structure that connects Sharepoint with local folders allows document storage from different type of provided softwares. These shortcuts are completely adapted to all department requests and are part of the beginning of a set of developments that will support the manipulation, visualization and the research of data. The proposed solution reduces the number of generated incidences to the IT department, and it also encourages to inter-departmental communication and the error reduction of data matching.
