Abstract
Water quality is one of the main modern environmental issues. Therefore, increasing investment of climate and environmental research brought to life HiSea project, funded in the framework of the European Union`s Horizon 2020, that aims to better understanding of the marine coastal environmental status and deliver target high quality and resolution data to end-users of Copernicus systems. A series of anthropogenic contaminants is to be selected as the main concern for downscaled modelling in the coastal zone of the Southern part of the North Sea in this research.
