Abstract
The overall objective of the Pressurized Water Reactors (PWR) safety analysis rely on massive nuclear accidental transients simulations. Recurrent neural networks (RNN) are a powerful mathematical tool for sequential data analysis, that could be used to improve transient safety analysis and thus develop innovative statistical Best Estimate Plus Uncertainty (BEPU) accidental methodology to reinforce the legacy deterministic safety approaches in particular regarding the uncertainty quantification and sensitivity analysis. Mission: - To use deep learning techniques (recurrent neural network, regularization, optimization, etc.) to improve transient safety analysis and develop statistical BEPU methodology - To perform Multiphysics simulation dealing with neutronics and core thermal- hydraulics. - To use state-of-the-art Deep-Learning libraries (PyTorch, TensorFlow,) and nuclear design proprietary computer codes.
