Planning on concrete works

Abstract

By writing this thesis I wanted to deeply explore the area of concrete works, go through all the process from A to Z and find the best way to plan to carry out a process of concrete works. In other words, I wanted to find a way to plan concrete works in best possible way to make sure that achieved results in execution of concrete works would be on highest level. My main intention was to create something like a guide that can be used mainly by beginners in the construction industry without a long experience and that will be able to help with any problems and ambiguities. When writing this work, I based mainly on my previously acquired knowledge, which I consulted with my friends from the industry. I used my contacts to conduct interviews with employees at various levels in construction companies to have a broader view of the problem. I mainly used proven solutions, but in the text I also included original and innovative ways of dealing with often encountered problems. This is how the following document was created, which can be used not only by beginners, but also site managers with several years of experience, who with its help will be able to systematize the knowledge gained so far and can learn fresh information on concrete work planning. As shown in the following work, the successful completion of concrete works consists of several factors. First of all, good communication between the parties involved in the work is important, where each party knows exactly what task to perform and fulfils the entrusted duty. It also means that manual workers should have their tasks clearly defined and be aware of the purpose of their performance. To enable them to do so, they should have at their disposal properly selected materials along with all the necessary equipment. All the parts of my analysis can be structured within 4 main elements, such as logistics and safety, materials, equipment and instructions for the workers, where each of them comes up with their own conclusions.
