The idea of being more sustainable in agriculture has grown in the last years to improve the ecological impact in the agrarian activity. Is essential to study the Plant Protection Products (PPP) to be able to improve on its applicability and use. They suppose a risk for people, crops and the organisms of the ground because of its toxicity. Thereby it is important to try to reduce its impact on the different scenarios. To be able to improve spray application equipment that will apply the PPP, the Agricultural Machinery Unity (UMA) from the Technic University of Catalonia (UPC) required of easy access at trees to be able to carry out different tests to determine the correct configurations and results of their investigations reducing the necessity to go at field. The aim of this project is to construct an artificial structure formed by five apple trees in vertical trellis system and its validation to confirm its utility. This project describes the trees manufacturing processes made with wood and iron and two different studies on them. At the first, to see the differences and similitude with the trees in fields, we have compared spray distribution on the artificial trees with a previous survey data made in a real field at similar conditions. At the second, three different machine’s configurations have been test in order to evaluate if the artificial trees presents different or similar results among them. Finally, on one hand, the results obtained at the two different studies shows that the artificial structure and the real field with which compared do not recreate the same situation since the results of both studies is significantly different. On the other hand, the three different machine’s configurations have obtained different results in the distribution.
