Project to improve facilities and equipment of an industrial plant dedicated to soy bean crushing

Abstract

The continuous improvement of an industrial plant is crucial to keep safety and leading its sector. It is focused on increasing the productivity, the quality and the motivation of the employees. The aim of the current project is to study the soy bean crushing industrial plant of Cargill and to promote the improvement of its agro-food process. Before a rigorous study of the problem, the proposal of solutions and the selection of one, the next step is to analyze it, to finally present a result of the project economically viable and proved with coherence. An accurate study may lead the project from one point to other point, pressing to reject some initial ideas for the final solution. The project is an example of this. The concluding result is away from the original idea due to design problems which have force to change the course of the scheme. However, the concluding project resolves the problem proposed successfully.
