With the introduction of the general information, layout, and composition of the three terminals, i would like to share with the people, who are interesting in automated container handling terminals but not knowing much about this very kind of terminal, how an automated container handling terminal should be. besides i am going to summarize several basic working models and a logical operation flow diagram of an automated terminal base on these three cases. along with the operation flow, the optimization and simulation of automated handling can be considered, which can bring out new ponders to us. all in all, through this article, the new trending of automation in the maritime industry will be introduced in the sector of container handling, at the angle of the historical development process. and bring out a clear idea of how this new trending is processing, what’s the challenges we are facing and how this new trending in benefiting our world.
