dc.description.abstractJet grout is a very popular soil improvement technique. Jet grout treatments are build adding single columns. Column diameter is then a basic parameter of any treatment. Column diameter results from a complex interaction of injection parameters and soil properties and remains difficult to predict or measure. The thesis examines several column diameter analytical prediction methods and compares them with results from a well documented case history. It does also address evaluation in situ, with particular attention to resistivity methods.
