Abstract
This document presents a synthesis of the work done, the results and the future work related to my Stage Fin d’Etudes as a SUPAERO student in AKKA TECHNOLOGIES.
In this internship, I was in the A380 Flight Control Law team, which is a part of the Flight Control Development Department, gathered in the Flight Physics and Control business Line of the Aéroconseil Site, in Blagnac.
For this period of time, I have worked on innovative means to furnish a new measure for the surveillance and protection of the roll and pitch angles. By taking advantage of the large set of measurements available on the Airbus aircraft family, I have reflected on the estimation of the attitude angles of the plane from non-IRS data, especially for the A380 program and potentially extendable to the whole LR family. The final purpose of this work is to obtain an increase in the availability of the Auto-Pilot and the Normal Law, looking towards the future of single-pilot Airbus aircraft.
After a short presentation of AKKA TECHNOLOGIES, this report presents an overview of the PIRANAA project, the main topics covered by it, as well as the methodology used along the development. Afterwards, an in-depth analysis of the results and further work is presented.
