Abstract
Mission control systems (MCS) allow us to perform all the explained above. They are the foundations of any space mission. They give to the flight controllers the possibility of analyse all the telemetry sent by the spacecraft and send telecommands to correct any unwanted state. With a poor MCS the quality of the mission might be degraded and the mission could be jeopardized. In collaboration with SpaceshipEAC, at the European Astronaut Centre from the European Space Agency, this master thesis will provide a theoretical approach and small proof of concept using OpenMCT, an open source software from NASA, in order to define a new MCS for the LUNA project, a lunar analogue in Earth, keeping the powerfulness of the current MCSs but using state of the art technology and is able to adapt to any future project that might be implemented or tested in the facility.
