dc.descriptionThe aim of the project is to design a NN able to detect the regulation cones of a Formula Student competition as well as integrate it in a Jetson TX2 GPU so it can work in real time. This project is a module of a more complete perception scheme that will be further explained. The work is related to the initiative in the Driverless UPC Formula Student Team that will be competing in the Formula Student, a competition where students from all over the world design and build a Formula 1 style race car.
dc.description.abstractThe purpose of this project is the development of a precise image detection block for aFormula Studentautonomous racing car. The design, training and integration of an artificial intelligence solution are described in detailas well as the design requirements due to team and competition constraints.In addition,image and metric results are provided at the end of the thesis using COCO mAP.
