Abstract
A novel set of instrumentation and algorithms for an image based photoplesthymography system for non-invasive and noncontact measurement of vital signs is developed and herein reported. Signal processing was enhanced by implementing motion compensation and heart rate tracking. The system is designed for applications for use in Neonatal Intensive Care Units. Future work on in vivo validation and the tuning of the algorithms is needed
