dc.description.abstractThe application of the essential work of fracture (EWF) methodology for the fracture behavior characterization of closed-cell low density polyethylene flexible foams is discussed in the present paper. The thickness of the foamed sheet and the relative orientation of the initial crack were the main parameters studied. The interpretation of the results is carried out on the basis of the material microstructure and the applicability of the testing method.
