Laboratorio de centralidades urbanas: centralidades y derecho a la ciudad en el Oeste de Montevideo

Abstract

Se expone la investigación en curso en el Instituto de Teoría de la Arquitectura y Urbanismo (ITU) de la Facultad de Arquitectura Diseño y Urbanismo de la Universidad de la República, llevado adelante por un equipo multidisciplinario ad-hoc de reciente creación. El eje de investigación son las centralidades urbanas, el que se enriquece a través de la enseñanza y la extensión en diversas modalidades. Asi mismo se cruza con temas de tesis de posgrado de algunos de los integrantes del equipo. El artículo se ordena de acuerdo a los siguientes items: Los avances respecto al concepto de Centralidades, al lugar que ocupan en el Plan de Ordenamiento, el problema de investigación, el estudio de caso en el Municipio A y al abordaje metodológico a través del Laboratorio de Centralidades Urbanas. Se cierra con algunas conclusiones preliminares.

The current research takes place at the Institute of Architecture and Urbanism (ITU) of the School of Architecture Design and Urbanism of the University of the Republic, carried out by a newly created ad-hoc multidisciplinary team. The axis of investigation is the urban centralities, which is enriched through the education and the extension in diverse modalities. It also intersects with thesis topics of some of the members of the team.The article is ordered according to the following items: Advances regarding the concept of Centralities, the place they occupy in the Plan Montevideo, the research problem, the case study in Municipality A and the methodological approach through the Laboratory of Urban Centralities. It closes with some preliminary conclusions.
