Abstract
Selected papers from the Second Pan-American Conference on Unsaturated Soils, held in Dallas, Texas, November 12–15, 2017. Sponsored by the International Society of Soil Mechanics and Geotechnical Engineering and the Geo-Institute of ASCE. This Geotechnical Special Publication contains 60 peer-reviewed papers on the fundamentals of unsaturated soils. Topics include: pore fluid retention; hydraulic properties; flow and deformation numerical modeling; shear strength and constitutive modeling; coupled processes numerical modeling; dynamic behavior; and innovations in testing. GSP 301 will be of interest to practitioners and researchers working in the area of unsaturated geotechnics.
