Abstract
This paper represents a numerical method to solve fluid-structure interaction (FSI) problems where the fluid exhibits a non-Newtonian Viscoelastic behaviour. Oldroyd-B constitutive equation is used to model Viscoelastic fluid. For FSI solution, a semi-implicit partitioned method is used which separates the fluid pressure term and strongly couples it to the structure, while the remaining fluid terms are only weakly coupled. Numerical tests demonstrate the capability of the method to solve FSI problems with a non-Newtonian Viscoelastic behaviour of the fluid.
