dc.description.abstract | Currently, there are many tools is daily life that provide the human being with a better life quality, but there is no doubt that one of the most important is optical fiber. Optical fiber allows long distance communications and with a large volume for data transmission. It is a precise medium, not excessively expensive and is capable of guaranteeing high-speed communication, with higher bit rates than radio and conventional cale (twisted pair or coaxial cable). The way to get each subscriber the optical signal that allows him to have an adequate connection is the key and likewise, the bulk of this project. Although today the vast majority of people know and use optical fiber, this document wants to reflect how the light signal is transported and manipulated from the telephone operator’s headquarters where it is born to the subscriber’s home using Gigabit technology, PON on a Fiber-To-The-Home (FTTH) network. A network formed from start to finish by optical fiber and passive elements, without the need to amplify or regenerate the signal. That is why the real deployment of the Town of Pallejá is carried out and designed to later undertake the real installation of this network, in order to learn and know the elements that make us have this indispensable service four our daily life. It also shows the idea that this world of new technologies is evolving and and optical fiber is not the exception. Other existing technologies that could be used in the future are presented to avoid quality losses in case of oversubscription and variables in the way of deploying FTTH networks to provide the necessary reliability and security to the user. |
