Without any kind of doubt, the 21st century will go down in history as the century of the technological evolution, the age of digitalization and the control of information and, in the end, the industrial era. This constant and progressive change in which industrial companies are, and even further in the food industry, necessarily implies dealing constantly with new challenges to become fully competitive and to surpass what is in the state of the art. In this project we present the design and validation of a cream injection machine for industrial pastries and, more specifically, to donuts. We must take into account that this machine it is not just made up of the injection machine but also of a conveyor belt and a storage system. The main goals of this project are as follows: to design and validate a cream injection machine, to justify the design and the elements enclosed in the ensemble, to justify the choice of material (according to the current regulations, with the maximum effectiveness, and to achieve the best quality-price ratio), to carry out and justify the theoretical calculations, to justify the protection equipment and, lastly, to define the total cost of the machine and its elements. Beyond the main goals cited below, we must bear in mind all the issues dealt with such as injection technology, material properties and the current regulations of hygiene and security, of course connected with the food industry. The design of this injection machine has been carried out by a software CAD 3D and, considering all the current regulations related to hygiene and safety, we can conclude that if the injection machine was built, besides being really competitive due to its quality-price ratio, it will obtain the CE mark for free movement and sale in the European Union.
