dc.description.abstractDrones has become more and more popular during the last decade. Those devices have left aside its original military purposes to join the civilian applications. The regional regulations have helped in its progressive implementation in the society. Now the current regulation in Spain allow drones to be used by law enforcement. This project has the objective of studying the application of drone in this sector, the possible operations and the juridical framework to design a prototype for the company AIRK drones. A specific and compact drone could be helpful to police officers in tasks: search and rescue, surveillance, crowd monitoring and tactical operations. This project is devoted to develop a device in which hardware and software meets the requirement to perform this operations. To do so we started organizing the structure of the project and the fields to cover. The strategy used to develop this product started with an extended market and component research, and with that knowledge, we decided the optimal solution for creating a prototype. To finish that process we did an economic study to know the implementation cost of this prototype in the company in case it were accepted by the market. Along this project, the experience obtained in parallel during the internship, assembling and configuring drones for the company AIRK Drones, influenced a lot in the selection of the components. The results of this project is a prototype 3D modelled with the software Solidworks and with all the components selected to coexist in the same system with the requirements of the customer.
