Ballistic adsorption of colloidal magnetic particles

We present a new model of sequential adsorption in which the adsorbing particles experience anisotropic dipolar interactions. These long-range interactions induce highly ordered structures in the adsorbed layer at low temperatures. The order is manifested through significant variations in the surface packing.
